More of Open house

Here is where our tree stood. We had everyone decorate it with an ornament which we supplied from years ago. Everyone enjoys it and we get out of decorating before company comes.
Here michael gets peepers as a gift from his sister. Oh by the way thats his niece sitting next to him, all she does is knit.
Here I am very surprised with this gift. I also loved the bow, as you see I am wearing it.
Here we have the food tasters.
Also lets not forget the DRINK TASTERS.

Our Open House

Hunter Receiving his gifts, He had a Ho Ho scruff on if you notice.

We had a great time, but we always do. We love to have open house cause we love to share with our friends. Especially those that have no one close by, like I do. Anyway we had Michael family come for the day and had friends just come in and out from start to finish. It was a great turn out. As you will see in some pictures. Even our dog had fun. Here is hunter's cousin Sasha, she was ready for our open house. She was just a pretty girl, but hunter was not interested he was running around playing with his bone.

My Garden

Its now November and still no rain that we can really say, I have winterize my garden but guess what today it was in the 80's what the heck gives??? Oh well, do you realize I still have a praying mantis in my garden. It was living in my sunflower, then it moved to the bush beans. Now that I have taken down the bush beans and very carefully mine you, I thought I had lost it. But lo and behoe there it was on my camilla and still sits. Wonder why it just lurks here????

My granddaughter

My only granddaughter was born on November 4,2007. Her name is Mylie Susan born to my son Marc and lyllie. I have been waiting for this day for a very long time. I think she is the most beautiful baby, but I figure evey grandparent thinks this of their grandchildren. The only bad thing about this is they live in the east coast in New Jersey and I live on the other end in California. Soon I will get back there to hold my granddaughter for the very first time.

New Baby coming

So pretty soon we will have our first baby in a long time in our family. For the first time I will become a grandmother or nana as I would like to be called but who knows. I am on the point of finishing croching a baby sweater set and starting on a baby rag quilt which they say it would only take a day. I went to http://www.about.com and I read on how to do a rag quilt and I cut down to my terms and size. We will see how it works out, hoping this will be done in a day as they say, but knowing me it will take about a week with no mishaps. This is my first attempt at quilting. I know how to crochet and sew so at least I'm up on the terms. Wish me luck everyone. Picture to come when I am done.
