We started with a gran breakfast for the birthday guy. We left to go to first showing in the movies of "Knowing". It wasn't a bad movie. We left there and went on to the bowling ally to take in some games, also was cheap cause we were early birds just like the movies. We had $1.00 hotdogs and drinks. We had just a good time. By the time we finish it was time to make a round over to target and look for some stuff then we headed home, it was almost dinnertime and to make the birthday guy a birthday cake. We had family night which we always have on sundays and all in all we had a wonderful day. Well thats what the birthday guy told me : ) Here are some pics of HIS DAY. By the way that ice cream is Skinny Cow stacey.

You want something to snack on after dinner but you don't know what. Well just a while ago after we had family night and watched Extreme Makeover, I looked for something. I didn't want ice cream and didn't want sugarfree candy, no chocolate either. There was something I couldn't put a finger on so, this is what I came up with. What are they you ask? Well I just made some old fashion Oatmeal Raisin cookies. Really was thinking about peanut butter ones but no peanut butter in the house. Maybe next time.
As I sit at the dinner table I'm amazed how beautiful the sun makes my window look while the sun goes down. Beautiful picture has been made by the sun though the kitchen window on the wall. Love my flowers peeking though the dry leaves in their pots. The windchimes by the doorway sing with the wind and the sun showing their shadow on the wall. What a beautiful night planet earth has given us.

We did what you call a mini crawl in town....saw all the people out celebrating and just having fun. Of all the years in this town this is the first time me and my hubby got to go out together for St. Patty's Day. We have always been working, Michael at night and me days. We even got to go from a Bar named Riley's to A Bar called the Bear in a peddi-cab. Here is a pic of something like we rode in, wish we would've thought of taking picture of our peddi-cab. We sure had a great deal of fun.

Mari's quilt laid out on the bed, little did I think I made just a big quilt. LOL Mind you Mari's bed is a full and I went all out and made her a queen so she can even tuck it under her pillows if she so chooses. Funny hubby commented, " You think you'll be done by the time we are ready for bed"?
Here it is all pinned and the back side of it, just love this crazy pattern and think she might also cause she is my crazy kid.

We had a small silent auction at my job last week and I got a great find for me, a wonderful lady passed away and her family left stuff of hers to be given away or send to salvation army. We had a silent auction and all proceeds goes for the Alzheimer memory walk which we have each year in about sept/oct. She had this pretty blouse and I got it, eveyone told me," Thats not going to fit you". Little do they know this is going into some quilt blocks and you can see why. I plan on cutting around the embrodery and using fusible web on the back and putting them on small blocks and making a small wall quilt. Her memory will always live on in this quilt. Thank you merriam for all the wonderful memories of yours.

Title sounds funny but this is just want I got today. I got a new darning foot for my singer YIPPEEEEE. Been waiting so long to get this and try it. Being that I'm a new quilter I have not gotten into all the aspects of quilting but have been reading all of the wonderful quilters blog on the right hand side of my blog and I am ready to tackle the quilting part with a darning foot and hand quilting also naturally. Today was our day off by we I mean me and my hubby Michael. When I'm off he is off from housework and cooking (mutual agreement). Naturally on our day off we took off to one of our favorite spots Barnes and Noble so here is Michael resting outside with his purchase and here is my purchase of the day. Mine you we can be in there for up to the least 3 hrs. but we knocked it down to 1hr. cause it was lunchtime and we got hungry.
Well about 2-3wks. ago our garden started blooming some stuff which I was unaware of cause of all the leafs and rain. Last week with all the bad weather we have had I noticed something pink and purple poking up through the dead leafs in a barrel and to my surprise this is was came up. Also in our shade garden around the water pond we now have primroses in bloom. POOR CONFUSED GARDEN!!!
